You are the HEART of our event!

The Southern Oregon True Crime Summit is a community-centered event bringing together educators, investigators, advocates, and storytellers for two days of learning, dialogue, and connection.

Our volunteers are a vital part of making this experience welcoming, organized, and impactful — and we’re so grateful for the people who step up to help make it happen.

If you love being part of live events, enjoy helping behind the scenes, and want to support a mission-driven gathering, we’d love to hear from you.

What the Volunteer Opportunity Includes

Volunteers receive:

🎟 A complimentary single-day summit pass
In exchange for one 2-hour volunteer shift we are thrilled to offer you a full day experience on us!

Important note:
Volunteer passes are day-ticket access only and do not include add-on events (such as special sessions, workshops, or book signings). Add-ons are only available to attendees who purchase a full ticket.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking volunteers who are:

  • Friendly, reliable, and respectful
  • Comfortable interacting with the public
  • Able to follow instructions and adapt as needed
  • On time and communicative if issues arise
  • Aligned with the educational and ethical tone of the summit

You don’t need prior event experience, just a good attitude and a willingness to help.

Volunteer Roles May Include

Depending on the day and schedule, volunteer support may include:

  • Guest check-in and badge distribution
  • Session room support (door monitoring, headcounts, light assistance)
  • Speaker or panel support
  • General wayfinding and attendee assistance
  • Vendor or exhibitor support
  • Setup or breakdown assistance

Assignments will be confirmed closer to the event based on availability and needs.

Scheduling & Expectations

  • Volunteers commit to a scheduled shift on one day of the summit
  • Volunteers are expected to remain available and present during their assigned shift
  • When not on duty, volunteers are welcome to attend sessions that day
