Planning is officially underway for the second Southern Oregon True Crime Summit.
Following the incredible success of our inaugural event, we’re expanding the experience with new speakers, additional educational opportunities, more law enforcement participation, breakout sessions, and an even stronger focus on collaboration and community.
We’re excited to welcome both returning attendees and first-time guests as we continue building this annual true crime summit dedicated to awareness, advocacy, education, and justice.

Dr. Kathie Mathis
2027 SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT
We’re honored to welcome Dr. Kathie Mathis as one of the first confirmed speakers for the 2027 Southern Oregon True Crime Summit.
With more than 35 years of experience in administration, mental health, abuse prevention, mentoring, and advocacy, Dr. Mathis brings a powerful perspective to understanding the dynamics behind predatory behavior and victimization. Her work has included developing nationally recognized prevention models, legislative advocacy, authoring educational resources, and speaking to audiences around the world.
At the 2027 Summit, Dr. Mathis will present The Mind of a Predator, exploring the behaviors, patterns, and psychological dynamics that can help us better understand predatory behavior and the creation of victims.

Building on What We Started
The inaugural Southern Oregon True Crime Summit showed us just how powerful it can be when investigators, advocates, experts, families, and members of the community come together in one space.
For 2027, we’re building on that foundation.
We’re creating more opportunities for meaningful conversation, deeper education, community connection, and collaboration, while continuing to bring greater awareness to the cases, issues, and people at the heart of this work.
Expect new speakers, expanded perspectives, valuable resources, and an experience shaped by what we learned from our first Summit and the feedback of those who joined us.
Our goal remains simple: to create an engaging, educational, and impactful Summit that strengthens awareness, supports advocacy, and brings people together.
